Care farming is a working ‘generic’ term to describe a form of agricultural diversification that also recompenses community and other productive land-managing organisations for the services they provide. Care farming is a partnership between the farmer or landowner, those who benefit from involvement, and the care team.

The purpose of this project was to identify practical examples of where RDPE funding has been used to support care farmers expand and diversify their business.
If you have any information about care farming activity that is happening in your region then we would like to hear from you. The project is focused on the following regions North West, North East, West Midlands, East of England, South West and Yorkshire and Humber.
The National Care Farming Initiative is a partnership of four organisations – Harper Adams University College, The Arthur Rank Centre, The Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens and the University of Essex.
